The Shop

October 25, 2012

If you follow the blog and are in the Fredericksburg area, first of all, I’m sorry. I know it’s been ages. I just got done hanging a show at Kybecca Wine Bar and Shop in downtown Fredericksburg. The show is hanging all of May and June, so there’s plenty of time to get out and see it. I’d love to hear what you think!

If you’ve just been to the show, and are here for the first time, welcome, and thanks for stopping by! Please, stay a while and take a look around.

And unfortunately, my work is coming off the walls! I’ve really had a great time showing my work at FoodE for the past three months, but all good things must come to an end! All of the pieces from the show will still be available for sale, and maybe I’m biased, but I think they would make pretty darn good presents for the upcoming Holiday Season. We’ll be showing again next June at Kybecca, but until then, please keep up with the project here!

Sunrise on Princess Anne St.

September 3, 2011

One of the true luxuries of shooting an artistic side project is getting to be choosey about your light. These two images were shot just after sunrise on an overcast morning.

Parking Lot Pano

September 2, 2011

While waiting to have coffee with my good friend Larry this morning, I shot a panoramic of the parking lot behind the Princess Anne Building. I’m not particularly fond of super long panos, but I like the effect it has here. This is a combination of about 20 images.

Washington Woolen Mills

August 24, 2011

Some of my favorites images include reflections, and this one is no exception. Here’s a quick photography tip for you…when trying to capture a reflection, the closer your lens is to the reflective surface, the more vibrant and detailed the reflection will be. I may or may not have gotten my camera a bit wet in the making of this picture. That’s right…I bleed for my art.

Confederate Cemetery

August 18, 2011

Geoff and I did some walking about to take advantage of the gorgeous weather we’ve been having lately. Don’t forget to go visit FoodE! The show’s up for about six more weeks, so you’ve got no excuses!

Fredericksburg Hardware

August 17, 2011

I always wanted to find out who owned Fredericksburg Hardware and ask them if I could use the interior of the building for a grungy portrait session. I guess I missed my chance. To see what it looked like back in the day (and by back in the day, I mean last year) check here. Perhaps one of the new tenants would care to purchase a print?

The Pump House

July 30, 2011

I’ve always been captivated by this building down by City Dock. I want to know the story of it’s owners. Someone please make that happen. I also want it to be my studio.

Bridge

July 29, 2011

Yup…that’s the best title I could come up with.
